Done with our first week....and onto the next!

Hello everyone! I haven't had time to update our blog over the weekend. We had a great first week, and I'm really looking forward to our second week! Please check out our Home Letter for week 2 (attached above).

We might have a slight change in schedule on Wednesday (07/16/14). Usually, we swim on Wednesdays, but the weather forecast is telling us that it might rain that day. If that's the case, then we will watch Veggie Tales inside our classroom. We have a huge screen and a projector in our room so it'll really feel like we are at the movies:)

We will announce our volunteer teachers very shortly, so stay tuned:)

And now...
The moment you have all been waiting for...

PICTURES!
It's a jumble of pictures from last week and today, so I will apologize in advanced!
Making towers out of blocks.

Playing in the pool. Nice way to cool off on a hot day!

Caleb is waiting in line to go on the slide!

Emily is about to come down the slide!

Mackenzie looks great in her hat!

Ryan and Tony are relaxing in the pool.

Colin looks worried about something.

Ayden is totally wet!

Rachel didn't feel like playing in the water.

Here comes Lucas down the slide!

Super cool pose, Ayden!

What happened to your hat, Mackenzie?

Hudson, why the long face?

Matthew enjoys pool days.

Hudson was obsessed about climbing the bars! Miss Yeji was tired!

Lucas' turn!

Peek-a-boo Ryan!

I love this picture!

Joshua was being a great brother to his sister, Sophia.

Silly Tony!

Boys, you're not driving the right way!

Stuck, Emily?

Matthew loves the bumpy slide!

Climbing up!

Cool shades, Jae Yoon!

Hey there, Colin!

Down the slide we go!

Ta-Da!

Edward seems to be enjoying the swings!

Ryan is finished with his lunch!

During Mrs. Kim's Gym time, we were basketball players.

Miss Joan, Hudson, and me (Miss Alice) at our field trip to Outragehiss Pets.

We were looking at the exhibits they had at the facility.

Sitting patiently for our show to start. Our class, Kindergarten, and Pre-K (3) all sat together.

Miss Nicole took out a Guinea Pig!

Watching so intently!

Getting to touch the Guinea Pig's wooly fur.

A chinchilla taking a sand/dust bath.

Joshua must have been super tired from the trip!

Using tweezers to transfer pompoms.

This was actually very cool to see. Caleb and Ayden were trying to lay out all the letters of the alphabet. As you can see, some letters were missing so they improvised. They turned the W on it's side and used it as an E, used 1 straight pipe builder for the letter I, used 2 straight pipe builders for the letter L, connected 4 corner pipe builders for the letter O, and finally, used a straight and T-bone pipe builder to make the letter T. Very cool boys!

What are you making, Hudson?

Miss Sannah is reading a book to some children in our classroom library.

Jae Yoon is happy to be eating snack!

Oliver, you cutie!

Tony is eating his healthy snack first!

GOLD FISH!

YUM YUM YUM!

Colin is fast asleep!

Good night Rachel!
During Sing Along!

Today's student teachers were Mr. Joshua and Mr. Oliver. Joshua was our  line leader and Oliver was our caboose. Thank you! You guys were awesome!

Our "Rad Rules" for the classroom!

That's it for now!!!
Stay tuned for more!
