Under God’s blessing, the first
week of Palisades VBS started off on a good note and the children of our PRE-K
class seem to be adjusting very well! These are some reminders for next week
(7/9-7/13) to come prepared for school!
1.
Every Tuesday is Art
with Mr. David. Since we might be working with paint and other materials that
might be hard to wash off, we STRONGLY recommend the children bringing an extra
worn out T-Shirt or smock to keep in the classroom from Mondays – Fridays so
they may wear it over the regular outfit.
2.
We also have Taekwondo
every Tuesday so please dress your child in comfortable clothes that are easy
to move in.
3.
We will keep the
sleeping bags from Monday-Friday. The sleeping bags/blankets should be washed
over the weekend and brought back again on Monday.
4.
We will also keep
the extra set of clothes throughout the 6 weeks of VBS for emergencies. Please
give them to us in a separate bag (large ziplock bag or paper bag) and make
sure the child’s name is on it so we don’t get them confused.
5.
Speaking of names,
make sure your child’s name is written on every Item they bring to school. We
have 15+ students in our class so it’s hard to keep track of everything if they
don’t have their names on them!
6.
Make sure you pack a
folder so that we can send home notices (like this) and work they did
throughout the week. It is expected that the folder is checked every night and
emptied before coming to school the next day.
7.
Every week, we will
assign the class a bible memory verse. By memorizing this, they will earn
tickets/stickers to buy prizes at the school market at the end of VBS.
a.
The bible verse of
this week is: “God made the world and everything in it”
Acts 17:24
Acts 17:24
8.
Starting from Monday
July 9th, class will be dismissed downstairs in the cafeteria. It is
the same place as drop off. Please be prompt in picking up your child
(2:40-3:00pm).
9.
If there is a change
in the person that is picking up your child from school, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
LET US KNOW AHEAD OF TIME! This is for their own safety!
Thank you,
Summer VBS Pre-K

TA: Esther Song
Again, thanks again so much for making it to our meeting. We really appreciate all the support that we receive from the parents!
Also, from the parents who did come, we would like any sort of feed back about this meeting (via email or comment on this blog post)! I know it was a bit hectic with all the children in our class + the other children that came along with the parents, but we tried our best and we hope everyone found the meeting to be informative.
I will also update the blog with more pictures of today (Friday) later tonight or during the weekend. I hope everyone will stay out of the heat and get some rest before coming back to school on Monday!
